Well he didn't turn out as dark as I had planned and I never truly got a good flow with the court women but over all I'm mildly happy with them. I probably could have spent another 5 hours on their flesh tones just to get it right. There are still a few shiny spots so it looks like I may need to go over them again with the matte sealer as well as clean up and adjust a few spots here and there.
Anyways enough with kicking myself on this guy I hope you enjoy. This set is really enjoyable to paint.
Also if you haven't seen it yet Kingdom Death is running a Kickstarter for his game MONSTER.
Please check it out!!

Excellent execution and really clever ideas. I like the colour choice for the armour and OLS on the base. The face, shown well in the second image is wonderful, worth a close-up.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised what a difference the court makes to the overall effect.
Thanks :) I also just made some edits and uploaded new pictures. I made that OSL pop a bit more.
DeleteAmazing work!
ReplyDeleteI love the armour, the subtle ols, the colour choices, use of contrast & the detail on the book.
Fanatic execution all around!
Fantastic work , great paint and colors !
ReplyDeleteRespect .
Thanks Captain! :)
DeleteAt first glance I thought the court's skin tones were a little too red, but I think they actually work well with the source lighting. I'm looking forward to Monster, especially what you do with it.
ReplyDeleteYeah I tried out a new color combo and the brown I usually use turned out Very red this time around. I even toned it down they were even more red for a while. I'm honestly surprised how much trouble I had with those ladies. Next time I know not to use that color combo. ;)
