So I finally managed to find some sort of Zen while painting the penitent engine tonight. Now that I have the body and legs (almost) done here is a sneak peek. I don't even want to mention that even after painting all those purity seals I still found another hidden one on the main body I missed painting. Seriously how many does this thing need?

I miss bits like that when I'm painting too. It seems there is always some purity seal or some such that escapes the brush till the end!
ReplyDeleteit will need many more after facing the denizens of the warp.
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's usually the flexi-joint bits on power armour (the inside of the elbows mostly).
ReplyDeleteLovely paint job by the way. :)
Coming along quite nicely. I'm always amazed by the level of detail you painters put into these things. It's truly going to be a work of art.
ReplyDeleteInner geek - at least i'm not alone. :)
ReplyDeleteamaximus - I don't know I can field up to 9 of these suckers that is a lot of purity seals.. I don't think I'll ever paint that many though.
Andy- I find it helps to turn the model upside down while painting to find all the spots i've missed.
WH 39,999 Thanks man! Hopefully it will look nice when i've finished.
Wait till you get your new Exorcists going. There are a billion little purity seals all over it.
ReplyDeleteLooking good and can't wait to see it done.
Oh very nice. Your shading is much nicer than my paltry grey-lining of my sentinel's legs. Excellent, as usual.
ReplyDeleteunreal skills me'lady.
